About Esquire Abroad
Hello and welcome to Esquire Abroad. My name is Eric, and I have been traveling since before I was born. Growing up with a mother as a flight attendant meant that my childhood (even gestation period) revolved around travel. My family and I have used standby passes to travel near and far for as long as I can remember.
When I was fifteen years old I made my first significant solo trip. I traveled as an exchange student to New Zealand and my love for travel expanded even more. Since that first solo trip, I have traveled to over 60 countries, always looking to see new places and meet new people. While my career as an attorney is not ideal for personal travel, I have tried to make it work over the years. When I am not working, my time is spent looking for new destinations to explore.
This website is dedicated to the places I’ve been and the stories I have to tell, as well as my attempt at balancing family, travel, and the legal profession. I hope to share travel stories/advice, insight into the legal profession, and inspiration I have used to shape myself personally and professionally. If you have any questions about any of the places I’ve been, what I do, or how I do it, I will do my very best to answer them. Be different. Be happy. Travel often.
